LG to release the LG Marquee CDMA

LG has quite a lot of interesting products in its catalogue. In fact, its smartphones are some of the best in the market even though there aren’t many of them. One of the good ones is the LG Marquee which is a CDMA smartphone powered by Android version 2.3. It has quite a big screen as well although not too big at a size of 4-inches. The screen also comes with a 700-nit NOVA touchscreen which is effective in bright daylight.

Underneath its 4-inch body lies a 1GHz processor although the amount of RAM available inside it is not announced. However, the storage space inside the LG Marquee is at a paltry amount of 4GB. The camera on the LG Marquee is 5MP which is capable of capturing 720p video. Its front facing camera on the other hand is a 2MP camera. GPS is also present on this device as well.

The price for this phone is $55 without any contract under Boost Mobile. However, with Boost Mobile Android Monthly Unlimited plan with Shrinkage, users can get free talk and text messaging as well as Internet. At this price, it is definitely a bargain smartphone although it runs on CDMA instead of GSM.

The rumors are springing up for Apple’s iPad 3 that is supposed to arrive in March this year. Some are saying that may be, in the next two weeks, iPad3 will be hitting the shelves.

If we compare it to Apple’s earlier, releases it would perfectly fit as first iPad model came in April 2012 and iPad 2 arrived in the last week of March.

Bloomberg Report

According to the report of Bloomberg, “Apple iPad3 will be incorporating the HD screen, and the small pixels will give the image a printed material look.” A quad-core chip will increase efficiency and speed with 4G LTE support.

Report also stated that LTE is brought for the Apple iPad gadget before the iPhone as latest power technology and a bigger battery support the tablet. Bloomberg obtained this report from the three different sources related with the product.

Update for Production

The report has also revealed that Apple has already started the production of these gadgets at the Asian partners manufacturing units, as Foxconn in china is running the whole 24 hours a day.

The iPad launched earlier has been a massive hit generating more than $25 billion as sales revenue. Many companies tried to come up to the level of iPad but failed; however, Cupertino is hoping that the device will become the favorite choice of consumers.

Rumors are also saying that may be iPad 3 will not be good enough to reach the target, as iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S failed to do so. The time is the only answer for all these rumors.

PC factory overclocks their custom PCs to 5.7GHz

If you are a gamer than chances are you would know about Origin PC. They sell some of the best custom PCs in the United States and they also offer a lifetime technical support on which not many manufacturers practice this. Origin PC boasts of having a factory overclock PC running at clocks up to 5.2GHz. However, they have increased the bar as it is now possible to get a 5.7GHz computer straight from the company.

Origin PC says this amazing feat was made possible on an i7 2700K system which uses a ‘Phase Change’ cooling system. This system cools down the processor to as low as -40 degree Celcius. Suffice to say that this is a very cold system on which the processor will be operating on. In addition to the amazingly overclocked CPU, it is also possible to get a set of NVIDIA GTX 580 cards in a 4-way SLI. The performance in this computer will be absolutely stunning.

Expect to pay a hefty price for this set of behemoth. Just to get a grasp of how much it will potentially cost, their The Big O system which is one amazing desktop is available at a price of $17,000. Those that are interested should definitely need some pretty big pockets.

Huawei unleashes the world’s thinnest phone

The Consumer Electronics Show or CES 2012 is an annually held event where manufacturers showcase some of their new products. There were a few successful products that were debuted in CES and amongst them are the Xbox, Blu-Ray DVD and a lot more. This year is the year of the thin devices where previously, Acer had announced the Aspire A5 which is now the world’s thinnest ultrabook. Huawei on the other hand, decided to join in the bandwagon by announcing the Huawei Ascend P1 S which is the world’s thinnest phone.

The Ascend P1 S is breathtakingly thin at a thickness of only 6.68mm. This makes it thinner than the Droid RAZR which has a thickness of 7.1mm. It features a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED screen which has a resolution of 540×960 pixels and also has a dual-core 1.5 GHz processor as well. Suffice to say that this is one of the high-end products that Huawei could offer.

However, with the thin profile comes a sacrifice in battery life. It features only a 1670 mAh battery although should anyone wishes to have one that has a higher battery capacity, they can have a look at the Huawei Ascend P1 although at a thicker width of 7.69mm. These two devices will have Android 4.0 on board.

The dock is extremely much similar to the Motorola Webtop experience that can be used in gadgets like Droid Razr and Droid Bionic. Launched in US : T-Mobile Nokia Lumia 710

The new Windows 7 Smartphone, the Nokia Lumia 710 has been launched across the US by mobile carrier T-Mobile with a two-year agreement and has gone on sale today. The Smartphone is priced at $49.99 and is available in two colors- white or black.

Specifications

The Lumia 710 1.4 GHz single core processor and runs on the Windows Phone 7 Mango mobile OS. It bears a 3.7-inch WVGA display screen. It features a five MP camera with 720p HD video recording, but there is no front facing camera unlike the Lumia 900 launched earlier by AT&T.

Other Features

Some of the applications that come pre-loaded in the Lumia 710 are ESPN, Nokia Drive, and Nokia Music for audio streaming services and T-Mobile TV for streaming video. The combined effort of Nokia and Microsoft notwithstanding, Windows phones will find it difficult to compete against the likes of a hoard of Android gadgets in the market.

T-Mobile must do more for cause as now the 4G network LTE is not available and users will only get HSPA+ service. Windows phone lovers are waiting eagerly for the release of Lumia 800, which will be unblocked, and SIM-free and yes, the launch of Windows 8 for mobile devices.

Nokia Lumia 800 Specifications

The collaboration between Microsoft and Nokia is anything but a secret as the Finnish company agreed to equip their new devices with the mobile operating system that is developed by Microsoft which is the Windows Phone 7. Nokia devices sporting WP7 was rumored to come sometime by next year but somehow the company has decided to release it a bit earlier with the Nokia Lumia 800.

The Lumia 800 looks almost exactly like the N9 which is one of Nokia’s flagship models based on the Meego mobile OS. However, the bits and pieces that are in the Lumia 800 is nothing similar like the N9 and here are some reasons why.

Lumia 800 comes with a 1.4GHz single-core Qualcomm processor. We expected to get dual-core out of the device but there is no support for it yet for Windows Phone 7. In addition to that, there is also a 512MB RAM instead of the 1GB available on the Nokia N9. The storage capacity on the other hand is at 16GB with no additional microSD card slots which mean users will have to stick with the 16GB and nothing more. In addition to that, the screen is slightly smaller in the Nokia Lumia 800 at only 3.7-inch instead of 3.9-inch which is available on the Nokia N9.

With all of this being said and done, the Lumia 800 may not be as powerful as the N9 but at around $70 cheaper and a Windows Phone 7 as its mobile OS, a lot of users may find the Lumia 800 a phone that is good to have.

Sony 9.4-inch Tablet S

The Sony Tablet S isn’t really one that everyone is familiar with. Sure, a lot of people have heard about the Apple iPad or the Amazon Kindle but not really the Tablet S. However, the Sony Tablet S is one that should be considered upon especially when it comes to a reputable company such as Sony.

The Sony Tablet S is an Android tablet device with a 9.4-inch screen which has a ten-point detection. More devices getting the end

The informant also revealed that the other gadgets, including, LG Revolution (which came seven months before in the market), Palm Pre 2 and the BlackBerry Curve 3G are going to cover the cut. Zero LTE hotspots will be on the sale, and we will be waiting for the new crew coming soon.

High Speed Video Cameras From Casio

A high speed video camera is generally used for recording fast moving objects, in the form of images, onto a storage media. These can later be played back in slow-motion. While earlier high speed cameras used film to record these, the high speed video cameras available today use either a charge-coupled device or a CMOS image sensor, which can record over 1000 frames per second into DRAM. Today, we bring you reviews of the two best high speed video cameras from the giants in the field, Casio.

Casio Exilim EX-FH20

The Casio Exilim EX-FH20 is a great megazoom camera with high speed recording capabilities. Coming with a comfortable and stylish design, this also includes nice new features you will enjoy playing with. This basic point-and-shoot camera has one great advantage to it – it can shoot at 40 frames per seconds and 1,000 fps video capture too.

The camera is not too easy to operate and its picture quality leaves a lot to be desired, even though it is of 9MP resolution. It feels good to hold and operate though, what with a tight handgrip, large thumbrest, big screen and nicely positioned controls. The FH20 offers you eight color filters and several saturation, sharpness and contrast options to choose from.

You can set the FH20 to automatically stores all your shots, if you so wish. The only problem is that while doing so, you just may end up filling all the available memory, and also burn up a lot of battery charge. For this reason, it would be advisable to keep spare batteries with you at all times.

The Casio FH20 performs as well as it promises. It can capture 7MP images at up to 40fps. Considering the usual speed of megazooms, this one is indeed much faster and the start-up time to taking the first shot is just over 3 seconds. The time between shots is lesser than 2 seconds, which is a pretty good score.

Photo quality is where this one is lagging behind. The problem is with accuracy and white balance. The pictures also tend to have a lot of noise in them, due to which it is better to use this camera for smaller prints or for Website use.

The Casio EX-FC100 is one camera that works really well with high-speed video and continuous-shot still photography. Stylish-looking and quite easy to hold and use, this is one of those very few small devices that stand out as a high¬-speed camera and works equally well with both still images and videos. Available for $349, however, this camera is still too expensive if you want a truly high-end camera.

On the positive side, the FC100 offers you a great LCD screen, stunning 9.1MP resolution and a 5X optical zoom lens. Image quality is great in many cases. But it also lacks in some areas. Generally, this camera shoots better images outdoors than indoors.

In low-light conditions, the FC100 is your average point-and-shoot camera. There is no long-shutter mode for night-time shooting, which is quite disappointing. It does not give as great close-ups as one would like either. The anti-shake mode is good though, and this feature helps you avoid blurry photographs.

The best thing about the FC100 is high¬-speed photography and videos. The high-speed video mode is especially good.

Panasonic GF3

Only several days have passed since Sony launched their NEX-C3, Panasonic answer with their new Lumix. This does not affect the title of the UCIL from Sony, but takes the crown for the Lumix family. The device dimensions are 108 x 67 x 32.5 mm and the body’s weight with battery and card reaches 264 g.

In direct comparison with Sony NEX-C3, it is shorter by 2 mm and high with 7 mm. Panasonic insisted to provide an integrated flash directly above the lens mount. The screen of 3″ on the back is touch sensitive as in the case of Panasonic GF2, thus justifying the reduced number of buttons.

12 MP sensor of its predecessor has been preserved for Panasonic Lumix GF3, but now allows the 3.8 fps at full resolution. Filming 1080i now has focus by pursuing the subject. Its minimum ISO value is increased to 160 and is used to focus a new system based on the contrast difference.

Panasonic GF3 boasts with the subject focus in only 0.1s when using the 14-140 mm objective. The new member of the Micro Four Thirds devices, will be available on the market in July. Price for the one with fixed 14 mm objective will be $700. In August, those interested can purchase Panasonic GF3 with 14-42 mm objective for $600.

Tab Smartphone Crossover

Samsung has added another smartphone to its Galaxy Series called Samsung Galaxy Note. Galaxy Note is much different than other phones, as it provides a 5.3 inch screen. The debate however still stands whether this phone is too big for a regular phone or too small for a tablet phone. Dell had launched a similar smartphone with a 5 inch screen called as Streak 5. Due to negative responses Dell stopped its production. Whether Galaxy Note will be any different or not we will have to wait and see.

Specifications of Galaxy Note

Check out the technical specifications of this crossover gadget.

  • 5.3 inch screen
  • Dual Core 1.4 GHz
  • 1 GB RAM
  • 8 Megapixel back camera and 2 Megapixel front camera
  • 16 GB or 32 GB storage
  • 9.65 mm thickness

Stylus – S Pen

Samsung Galaxy Note has also added the option of using a stylus called as S Pen. The S Pen was previously seen with HTC Flyer. The difference between with S Pen and stylus is that, the S pen comes with built in apps like taking notes, calendar, to-do things etc. Many other companies are also going to launch apps for the S pen.

Galaxy Note breaks 1 million products

Seems like Samsung has been making quite a name for itself in the world as previously, the Samsung Galaxy S II managed to get a healthy 10 million sales worldwide making it one of the most sought after smartphones after the iPhone. In fact, if compared with the iPhone 4S, the Samsung Galaxy S II would still have a better set of hardware. SGS II aside, the world now focuses on the new tablet-slash-phone which is the Samsung Galaxy Note.

The Samsung Galaxy Note is a 5.3-inch tablet which comes with its own stylus and is somewhat different than most tablets available today. It isn’t too big neither is it too small but there must be an attractive feature that makes people interested with it as this particular device by Samsung managed to get a million units shipped worldwide. Some of the countries on which it managed to get a large volume of sales include France, Germany, Hong Kong and a few others.

This particular device will soon reach the US market although there is no telling what kind of alteration will be there in the US versions. The consumer would probably be seeing an LTE version of the device.
