Sony 9.4-inch Tablet S

The Sony Tablet S isn’t really one that everyone is familiar with. Sure, a lot of people have heard about the Apple iPad or the Amazon Kindle but not really the Tablet S. However, the Sony Tablet S is one that should be considered upon especially when it comes to a reputable company such as Sony.

The Sony Tablet S is an Android tablet device with a 9.4-inch screen which has a ten-point detection. In addition to that, it also has the NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor which means that it is capable of doing computing in 1GHz. It is also equipped with a GB worth of RAM and comes with two flavors which are 16GB and 32GB respectively. It has a 5MP camera at the back and another VGA (0.3MP) camera at the front for video calling purposes.

Good thing for those that would want to have a look at this device because Sony is now slashing $100 off of its price tag. This would mean that users can get one of these for only $400 for its 16GB variant or $500 for its 32GB variant. Gameloft to put almost all of its games for 99 cents

First, it was EA Games that decided to put a wide range of its games for only 99 cents for the holidays and it is about time other game publishers join the bandwagon. The French company Gameloft which is popular with games such as Asphalt and a few others decided that it too could sell its games for 99 cents. In fact, Gameloft decided to sell all of its games to only 99 cents.

Some noteworthy games that will be put on sale include the Asphalt 6, N.O.V.A, Order & Chaos, Adventures of TinTin and many more. However, make sure that the devices are compatible before you decide to go on a spending spree. Unlike the iOS devices, Android devices face a lot more incompatibility issues partly due to the difference in hardware inside different Android devices.

Don’t go rushing into the spending spree just yet because this promotion will only start at 29th December 2011 at 10.00AM PST until 5th January 2012, 10.00AM PST. Should anyone go for it? Definitely! Gameloft games are certainly one of the best in the market and some of the reason on which not many people buy it is that it may cost a lot especially when it is on an Open Source (read: free) operating system.

Amazon to give out updates for Kindle Fire users, aims to fix problems with the tablet

A bestselling product will not be left without its own share of trouble. For example, the iPhone 4S was clouded with battery problems and the problem has still persisted even though Apple had given out updates to the iOS. The same also applies to the Kindle Fire, which is Amazon’s first tablet which can be said as popular as the iPad especially due to its price of only $199.

One of the problems that users keep on complaining about is the lack of sensitivity of the touch screen and the occasional lagging of the operating system. This may be expected as even though the Kindle Fire is powered by Android, Amazon had stripped down all of its services to just a few on which was mostly modified by the company as well. In addition to that, Silk, its browser was reported to load pages slowly even on a high speed connection.

The update that Amazon will be giving focuses on the operating system of the Kindle Fire and will tackle a few of the major issues found. The speed and touch screen controls will be noticeably snappier with the new update. This may clear a few things between Amazon and its customers but until most of the problems have been taken care of, Amazon still has a long way to go.
