iPad 3 expected to hit the market in March 2012

The rumors are springing up for Apple’s iPad 3 that is supposed to arrive in March this year. Some are saying that may be, in the next two weeks, iPad3 will be hitting the shelves.

If we compare it to Apple’s earlier, releases it would perfectly fit as first iPad model came in April 2012 and iPad 2 arrived in the last week of March.

Bloomberg Report

According to the report of Bloomberg, “Apple iPad3 will be incorporating the HD screen, and the small pixels will give the image a printed material look.” A quad-core chip will increase efficiency and speed with 4G LTE support.

Report also stated that LTE is brought for the Apple iPad gadget before the iPhone as latest power technology and a bigger battery support the tablet. Bloomberg obtained this report from the three different sources related with the product.

Update for Production

The report has also revealed that Apple has already started the production of these gadgets at the Asian partners manufacturing units, as Foxconn in china is running the whole 24 hours a day.

The iPad launched earlier has been a massive hit generating more than $25 billion as sales revenue. Many companies tried to come up to the level of iPad but failed; however, Cupertino is hoping that the device will become the favorite choice of consumers.

Rumors are also saying that may be iPad 3 will not be good enough to reach the target, as iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S failed to do so. The time is the only answer for all these rumors.

Rumors springing up for iPad 3

New rumors have begun rising up about the iPad 3 release date. Is it true? For making the components of the iPad 3, a lot of stuff and components are needed for this gadget from the manufacturers and from there rumors leak out.

Wall Street Journal Report

A report from wall Street Journal has revealed that Apple has ordered more than millions of components related to panels or display. Moreover, one more report says that a market analyst has asked the investors to invest in iPad3 as it would be in the market by March 2012 end. Though these particulars are not absolute, but the speculation has increased a lot.

Basis of iPad 3 features

Rumors are saying that the iPad 3 features are mainly based on the processor and display features. The A6 processor is going to incorporate several architectural changes to improve the performance. The enhanced version of processor is required for the addition of iPad 3 apps and software.

There are also speculations for the display feature of iPad 3 that it should have at least twice resolution power than the iPad 2. The resolution of iPad 3 display would go up to 2048 X 1536 px with the fixing of dual LED light problem also. And the physical dimensions will remain unaffected, so retina display features of iPhone 4S would be there in iPad 3 also.

iPad HD – Apple’s next tablet?

The third generation of Apple tablet may not be called iPad 3, but rather iPad HD, the chosen name intended to highlight the special qualities that its screen has.

If iPad 2 has a touch screen whose resolution are 1024 x 768 pixels, iPad HD could provide a screen resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels, thus being able to display more detailed images with a higher performance than the previous tablet.

Doubling the screen resolution is not new to Apple products, iPhone 4 is equipped with a touch screen whose resolution is 960 x 640 pixels, double from the 480 x 320 pixels display of the screen of an iPhone 3GS.

Apple could launch the iPad HD tablet with iPhone 5, spoken of being thinner and lighter than iPhone 4, and under the hood you can find a dual-core processor, and an 8 MP camera for pictures.

Rumors coming from other directions labeled iPad HD tablet as an improved version of an iPad 2 and not a completely new product, because the completely new tablet would bear the name of the iPad 3. So, stay tuned for more information about the new iPad HD, quite a different product from Apple.

Growing Friendship: Apple and Samsung

This is not the first time that the two brands have come up together, earlier also they have worked on mobile processors and in fact, Samsung co-designed the Apple A4 single-core chip which is found in the first-gen iPad and the iPhone 4 gadgets. Every month, the workforce of 1,100 workers makes 40,000 silicon wafers and the workforce is recruited just recently. Also, supply to Apple began in the first quarter of 2011 only.

Apple’s Efforts

No matter, Apple is putting in its best efforts to extricate itself in the production line, but still it is clear that Apple is interdependent on Samsung. Both the firms are midway through a lengthy legal campaign.

Apple Launches “Back to School” Promotion

Apple now offers a new gift for all the students who purchase its Macbooks. While the company was offering a free iPod in the past, it is now offering a $100 gift coupon that can be used to purchase products in Apple app stores. It can also be used to purchase apps on iTunes store, iBookStore and app store on Mac. The offer will be valid for people who purchase iMac desktops, MacBook Pro laptops and MacBook Air. Naturally, terms and conditions apply. Over the years, Apple has offered different offers for students. The company started out with an iPod Mini, it later shifted to iPod Nano and then iPod Touch. This year’s offer has come as a surprise as Apple has shifted from offering iPods to gift coupon for the first time.

Many students disappointed with the offer

The $100 gift coupon, according to many, is a reduction of free offer since iPods that were offered free were priced at $200. The promotional offer will last through September. It will be offered only if the user is a student. If students choose to buy qualifying Mac, which can be obtained with education discounts, gift coupons will be automatically offered. However, this year’s offer has left many buyers disappointed.

Playing guitar on-the-go with Apogee Jam Guitar

A hardware which would enable guitarists to plug in their beloved guitars on-the-go would definitely be nice especially if the hardware costs $100. The device that is being talked about is no other than the Apogee Jam Guitar adapter. It works for the iPad, iPhone as well as Mac computers.

The device is quite simple actually as it consists of only a small rectangular device which has a port that can connect to the Mac computer or to the iPhone or iPad. The other port would be the one to be connected to the guitar. It isn’t anything extraordinary but is relatively simple instead. It also features an LED indicator which shows whether the device is already connected or when the input level is too big (such as the case with high tones/volume).

The device can be used with Apple GarageBand which is available on the iPhone and iPad as an application or a program on Mac. There are also other software that would work well although there may be incompatibility issues. Nevertheless, at only $100, it is definitely a useful investment for anyone that is looking for a quick on-the-go setup device such as the Apogee Jam Guitar adapter. However, as of date, there are no version of the software that is compatible with Windows.

Microsoft to launch full Office suite for Apple's iPad tablet?

Microsoft looks set to openly embrace bitter rival Apple with new reports suggesting the PC giant is to bring the full Office suite to the Apple iPad in a selection of premium applications.

The reports, which come via iPad exclusive newspaper The Daily, have claimed Microsoft is ‘actively working’ on bringing Office to the iPad with the likes of Microsoft Word, Excell and Powerpoint to challenge Apple’s own branded Pages, Numbers and Keynote software already available for the market leading tablet.

Expected to land within the coming months the full Office suite for iPad is expected to be split into a series of dedicated programme applications with The Daily predicting that in order to compete with Apple’s iWork suite each app will be priced around the £6.99 mark.

Whilst little else is currently known about the apparently upcoming Office for iPad offering, The Daily has suggested the tablet centric software will be fully compatible with Microsoft’s cloud solution Office 365 allowing users to access and amend documents on the move.
