The next generation of the Wii console, the Nintendo Wii U, has been showcased at the recent E3 show. The controller integrates a touch screen, gyroscope, accelerometer, camera, and motion detection. It’s a very strange controller and it seems a bit odd to switch between looking at your nice, large television and your small little controller. But, just as many were unsure of the extra effort swinging around a Wii controller, it was still a huge success for Nintendo and a hit among casual gamers.
The Wii U is expected to be released sometime late 2012. So we’ll keep an eye on any further updates to Nintendo’s latest incarnation. What do you think? Will this be a hit for Nintendo or a just a sad imitation of the Wii?
