In fact, its smartphones are some of the best in the market even though there aren’t many of them. One of the good ones is the LG Marquee which is a CDMA smartphone powered by Android version 2.3. It has quite a big screen as well although not too big at a size of 4-inches. The screen also comes with a 700-nit NOVA touchscreen which is effective in bright daylight.

Underneath its 4-inch body lies a 1GHz processor although the amount of RAM available inside it is not announced. However, the storage space inside the LG Marquee is at a paltry amount of 4GB. The camera on the LG Marquee is 5MP which is capable of capturing 720p video. Its front facing camera on the other hand is a 2MP camera. GPS is also present on this device as well.
The price for this phone is $55 without any contract under Boost Mobile. However, with Boost Mobile Android Monthly Unlimited plan with Shrinkage, users can get free talk and text messaging as well as Internet. At this price, it is definitely a bargain smartphone although it runs on CDMA instead of GSM.
Some are saying that may be, in the next two weeks, iPad3 will be hitting the shelves.

If we compare it to Apple’s earlier, releases it would perfectly fit as first iPad model came in April 2012 and iPad 2 arrived in the last week of March.
Bloomberg Report

According to the report of Bloomberg, “Apple iPad3 will be incorporating the HD screen, and the small pixels will give the image a printed material look.” A quad-core chip will increase efficiency and speed with 4G LTE support.

Report also stated that LTE is brought for the Apple iPad gadget before the iPhone as latest power technology and a bigger battery support the tablet. Bloomberg obtained this report from the three different sources related with the product.

Update for Production

The report has also revealed that Apple has already started the production of these gadgets at the Asian partners manufacturing units, as Foxconn in china is running the whole 24 hours a day.

The iPad launched earlier has been a massive hit generating more than $25 billion as sales revenue. Many companies tried to come up to the level of iPad but failed; however, Cupertino is hoping that the device will become the favorite choice of consumers.

Rumors are also saying that may be iPad 3 will not be good enough to reach the target, as iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S failed to do so. The time is the only answer for all these rumors.
The Ultrabook is silver colored and has a cover with a brushed aluminum texture with the iconic logo of VAIO stamped in the middle.

The pleasing Sony keyboard suits the glossy 13-inch display. A row of physical buttons is placed above the keyboard with the familiar functions. Besides another logo, of the VAIO on the left the notebook also features a seamless mouse pad.
They sell some of the best custom PCs in the United States and they also offer a lifetime technical support on which not many manufacturers practice this. Origin PC boasts of having a factory overclock PC running at clocks up to 5.2GHz. However, they have increased the bar as it is now possible to get a 5.7GHz computer straight from the company.

Origin PC says this amazing feat was made possible on an i7 2700K system which uses a ‘Phase Change’ cooling system. This system cools down the processor to as low as -40 degree Celcius. Suffice to say that this is a very cold system on which the processor will be operating on. In addition to the amazingly overclocked CPU, it is also possible to get a set of NVIDIA GTX 580 cards in a 4-way SLI. The performance in this computer will be absolutely stunning.

Expect to pay a hefty price for this set of behemoth. Just to get a grasp of how much it will potentially cost, their The Big O system which is one amazing desktop is available at a price of $17,000. Those that are interested should definitely need some pretty big pockets.
There were a few successful products that were debuted in CES and amongst them are the Xbox, Blu-Ray DVD and a lot more. This year is the year of the thin devices where previously, Acer had announced the Aspire A5 which is now the world’s thinnest ultrabook. Huawei on the other hand, decided to join in the bandwagon by announcing the Huawei Ascend P1 S which is the world’s thinnest phone.

The Ascend P1 S is breathtakingly thin at a thickness of only 6.68mm. This makes it thinner than the Droid RAZR which has a thickness of 7.1mm. It features a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED screen which has a resolution of 540×960 pixels and also has a dual-core 1.5 GHz processor as well. Suffice to say that this is one of the high-end products that Huawei could offer.

However, with the thin profile comes a sacrifice in battery life. It features only a 1670 mAh battery although should anyone wishes to have one that has a higher battery capacity, they can have a look at the Huawei Ascend P1 although at a thicker width of 7.69mm. These two devices will have Android 4.0 on board.
The handset is expected to be launched in a few months, in LTE 4G network of AT&T’s. Overall, it looks to be the best Xperia brand of Sony smartphones to be launched till date. Let us have a look to some of its details.

Specifications

It has a 4.6 inch display (HDMI), 12MP camera, TV launcher interface and a sleek design. It has 1280 x 720-pixel display resolution that uses Sony Bravia Engine. However, the best part of the now Sony turned Sony Ericsson is its camera quality which is unmatched by most mobile manufacturers.

Using With a Dock

The Sony Xperia Ion can be used with a docking arrangement and thus a larger display can be obtained. The dock is extremely much similar to the Motorola Webtop experience that can be used in gadgets like Droid Razr and Droid Bionic. One can view photos, play music, and send texts from the comfort of the sofa at home. Sony also claims that the phone is capable of being controlled by a TV remote!
The Smartphone is priced at $49.99 and is available in two colors- white or black.

Specifications

The Lumia 710 1.4 GHz single core processor and runs on the Windows Phone 7 Mango mobile OS. It bears a 3.7-inch WVGA display screen. It features a five MP camera with 720p HD video recording, but there is no front facing camera unlike the Lumia 900 launched earlier by AT&T.
Other Features

Some of the applications that come pre-loaded in the Lumia 710 are ESPN, Nokia Drive, and Nokia Music for audio streaming services and T-Mobile TV for streaming video. The combined effort of Nokia and Microsoft notwithstanding, Windows phones will find it difficult to compete against the likes of a hoard of Android gadgets in the market.

T-Mobile must do more for cause as now the 4G network LTE is not available and users will only get HSPA+ service. Windows phone lovers are waiting eagerly for the release of Lumia 800, which will be unblocked, and SIM-free and yes, the launch of Windows 8 for mobile devices.
Nokia devices sporting WP7 was rumored to come sometime by next year but somehow the company has decided to release it a bit earlier with the Nokia Lumia 800.

The Lumia 800 looks almost exactly like the N9 which is one of Nokia’s flagship models based on the Meego mobile OS. However, the bits and pieces that are in the Lumia 800 is nothing similar like the N9 and here are some reasons why.

Lumia 800 comes with a 1.4GHz single-core Qualcomm processor. We expected to get dual-core out of the device but there is no support for it yet for Windows Phone 7. In addition to that, there is also a 512MB RAM instead of the 1GB available on the Nokia N9. The storage capacity on the other hand is at 16GB with no additional microSD card slots which mean users will have to stick with the 16GB and nothing more. In addition to that, the screen is slightly smaller in the Nokia Lumia 800 at only 3.7-inch instead of 3.9-inch which is available on the Nokia N9.

With all of this being said and done, the Lumia 800 may not be as powerful as the N9 but at around $70 cheaper and a Windows Phone 7 as its mobile OS, a lot of users may find the Lumia 800 a phone that is good to have.
Sure, a lot of people have heard about the Apple iPad or the Amazon Kindle but not really the Tablet S. However, the Sony Tablet S is one that should be considered upon especially when it comes to a reputable company such as Sony.

The Sony Tablet S is an Android tablet device with a 9.4-inch screen which has a ten-point detection. In addition to that, it also has the NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor which means that it is capable of doing computing in 1GHz. It is also equipped with a GB worth of RAM and comes with two flavors which are 16GB and 32GB respectively. It has a 5MP camera at the back and another VGA (0.3MP) camera at the front for video calling purposes.
Good thing for those that would want to have a look at this device because Sony is now slashing $100 off of its price tag. This would mean that users can get one of these for only $400 for its 16GB variant or $500 for its 32GB variant. At this price tag, it is comparable to other famous slates such as the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus or the ASUS Transformer.
An informant had told that the Droid 3 last shipment is going to arrive in January, after the six months when the phone was launched.

Is Verizon Droid 4 emerging out?

Actually the news is not as shocking as the Droid 3 is one of the options for which the Android (Verizon) shoppers seeking for a keyboard. May be this is the time when Droid 4 is trying to emerge out. But it looks quite surprising that the Droid 3 is cutting off just in 6 months after coming to the market. The nicest thing is this that the Motorola and Verizon are planning to support the owners by upgrading it to Ice Cream Sandwich platform.
The informant also revealed that the other gadgets, including, LG Revolution (which came seven months before in the market), Palm Pre 2 and the BlackBerry Curve 3G are going to cover the cut. Verizon is probably going to cut MI-Fi hotspots. Moreover, Novatel LTE Jetpack final shipment is arriving in January, whereas, ZTE Fivespot and Samsung LTE Jetpack will not be shipped at all. Zero LTE hotspots will be on the sale, and we will be waiting for the new crew coming soon.
There were speculations that the Android tablets will get cheaper in 2012, and Sony has wasted no time for cutting the prices of 16 GB Tablet S from $499 to $399, and the 32 GB model is cut down from $600 to $500.
More offers from Sony

Five free classic titles for PlayStation are also thrown by Sony along with music unlimited usage of 180 days as well as free downloads and credits from its Video unlimited store. May be the price cut is a little late as the holiday buying season is over. The design of Tablet S was nicely made otherwise this gadget has decent standards.
Competition with Apple iPad 3

Apple’s iPad 3 is coming in a few months and would be a strong competitor for Sony’s Tablet S and other Android gadgets running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. But Sony is also keen to upgrade tablet S to Ice Cream Sandwich in the near future.

Sony’s S has 9.4 inch display with a curved design resembling a rolled back design which is quite convenient for holding. Tegra 2 CPU is the dual core processor with a 5MP rear camera.
These can later be played back in slow-motion. While earlier high speed cameras used film to record these, the high speed video cameras available today use either a charge-coupled device or a CMOS image sensor, which can record over 1000 frames per second into DRAM. Today, we bring you reviews of the two best high speed video cameras from the giants in the field, Casio.

Casio Exilim EX-FH20

The Casio Exilim EX-FH20 is a great megazoom camera with high speed recording capabilities. Coming with a comfortable and stylish design, this also includes nice new features you will enjoy playing with. This basic point-and-shoot camera has one great advantage to it – it can shoot at 40 frames per seconds and 1,000 fps video capture too.

The camera is not too easy to operate and its picture quality leaves a lot to be desired, even though it is of 9MP resolution. It feels good to hold and operate though, what with a tight handgrip, large thumbrest, big screen and nicely positioned controls. The FH20 offers you eight color filters and several saturation, sharpness and contrast options to choose from.

You can set the FH20 to automatically stores all your shots, if you so wish. The only problem is that while doing so, you just may end up filling all the available memory, and also burn up a lot of battery charge. For this reason, it would be advisable to keep spare batteries with you at all times.

The Casio FH20 performs as well as it promises. It can capture 7MP images at up to 40fps. Considering the usual speed of megazooms, this one is indeed much faster and the start-up time to taking the first shot is just over 3 seconds. The time between shots is lesser than 2 seconds, which is a pretty good score.

Photo quality is where this one is lagging behind. The problem is with accuracy and white balance. The pictures also tend to have a lot of noise in them, due to which it is better to use this camera for smaller prints or for Website use.

The Casio EX-FC100 is one camera that works really well with high-speed video and continuous-shot still photography. Stylish-looking and quite easy to hold and use, this is one of those very few small devices that stand out as a high¬-speed camera and works equally well with both still images and videos. Available for $349, however, this camera is still too expensive if you want a truly high-end camera.

On the positive side, the FC100 offers you a great LCD screen, stunning 9.1MP resolution and a 5X optical zoom lens. Image quality is great in many cases. But it also lacks in some areas. Generally, this camera shoots better images outdoors than indoors.

In low-light conditions, the FC100 is your average point-and-shoot camera. There is no long-shutter mode for night-time shooting, which is quite disappointing. It does not give as great close-ups as one would like either. The anti-shake mode is good though, and this feature helps you avoid blurry photographs.

The best thing about the FC100 is high¬-speed photography and videos. The high-speed video mode is especially good.

This does not affect the title of the UCIL from Sony, but takes the crown for the Lumix family. The device dimensions are 108 x 67 x 32.5 mm and the body’s weight with battery and card reaches 264 g.

In direct comparison with Sony NEX-C3, it is shorter by 2 mm and high with 7 mm. Panasonic insisted to provide an integrated flash directly above the lens mount. The screen of 3″ on the back is touch sensitive as in the case of Panasonic GF2, thus justifying the reduced number of buttons.

12 MP sensor of its predecessor has been preserved for Panasonic Lumix GF3, but now allows the 3.8 fps at full resolution. Filming 1080i now has focus by pursuing the subject. Its minimum ISO value is increased to 160 and is used to focus a new system based on the contrast difference.

Panasonic GF3 boasts with the subject focus in only 0.1s when using the 14-140 mm objective. The new member of the Micro Four Thirds devices, will be available on the market in July. Price for the one with fixed 14 mm objective will be $700. In August, those interested can purchase Panasonic GF3 with 14-42 mm objective for $600.
Galaxy Note is much different than other phones, as it provides a 5.3 inch screen. The debate however still stands whether this phone is too big for a regular phone or too small for a tablet phone. Dell had launched a similar smartphone with a 5 inch screen called as Streak 5. Due to negative responses Dell stopped its production. Whether Galaxy Note will be any different or not we will have to wait and see.
Stylus – S Pen
Samsung Galaxy Note has also added the option of using a stylus called as S Pen. The S Pen was previously seen with HTC Flyer. The difference between with S Pen and stylus is that, the S pen comes with built in apps like taking notes, calendar, to-do things etc. Many other companies are also going to launch apps for the S pen.
In fact, if compared with the iPhone 4S, the Samsung Galaxy S II would still have a better set of hardware. SGS II aside, the world now focuses on the new tablet-slash-phone which is the Samsung Galaxy Note.

The Samsung Galaxy Note is a 5.3-inch tablet which comes with its own stylus and is somewhat different than most tablets available today. It isn’t too big neither is it too small but there must be an attractive feature that makes people interested with it as this particular device by Samsung managed to get a million units shipped worldwide. Some of the countries on which it managed to get a large volume of sales include France, Germany, Hong Kong and a few others.
This particular device will soon reach the US market although there is no telling what kind of alteration will be there in the US versions. The consumer would probably be seeing an LTE version of the device.
Is it true? For making the components of the iPad 3, a lot of stuff and components are needed for this gadget from the manufacturers and from there rumors leak out.

Wall Street Journal Report

A report from wall Street Journal has revealed that Apple has ordered more than millions of components related to panels or display. Moreover, one more report says that a market analyst has asked the investors to invest in iPad3 as it would be in the market by March 2012 end. Though these particulars are not absolute, but the speculation has increased a lot.
Basis of iPad 3 features

Rumors are saying that the iPad 3 features are mainly based on the processor and display features. The A6 processor is going to incorporate several architectural changes to improve the performance. The enhanced version of processor is required for the addition of iPad 3 apps and software.

There are also speculations for the display feature of iPad 3 that it should have at least twice resolution power than the iPad 2. The resolution of iPad 3 display would go up to 2048 X 1536 px with the fixing of dual LED light problem also. And the physical dimensions will remain unaffected, so retina display features of iPhone 4S would be there in iPad 3 also.

Unique Feature

Unlike other Siri ports; what makes this Siri port unique is the fact that it is legal. Actually, the previous attempts failed as obtaining files was a cumbersome task and it also involved copyright issues; however the Spire uses a unique method to obtain files necessary for Siri which relieves it from the copyright issues.

Pros and Cons

But, like everything in this world has its own share of pros and cons, likewise Apple still requires authorization to use Siri, which means you will have to use a proxy. Till the time there is no solution for jailbroken iPhone 4S, Siri port is a matter of using the phone’s own authentication tokens. Also, Paul believes once the iPhone 4S is jailbroken, no proxy server would be required.

Those of you who wish to have Spire can download it from Cydia now. Also, Spire uses about 100MB of data which means a Wi-Fi connection is a must have.
A lot of the games that will be mentioned have received high reviews from professionals as well as the casual gamers.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

This particular game has one line that is quite popular amongst 9gaggers which is “I used to be an X, until I took an arrow to the knee”. Jokes aside, this game is considered one of the best games ever created with GameSpot giving it 9.0 out of 10 while Metacritic gave it 96. It is a highly adventurous game that will leave the gamers for more.

Grand Theft Auto IV

This may be one of the few games that has received a perfect 10 from GameSpot and a 98 from Metacritic. Its multiplayer mode allows up to 16 players to play in this expansive city. The story on the other hand is just superb and is definitely recommended for all mature gamers.

Battlefield 3

This particular game has been competing with Call of Duty and for good reasons as well. Although the game is of similar genre, the storyline and the gameplay are somewhat different. It is to no wonder that each of these games have their own fanboys.
The big screen phone would be welcome by the US consumers and the market is all set for the successor of Galaxy S II.

Features

As per the sources, Galaxy S III would come with a number of features including Super AMOLED Plus HD display (1280×720 resolution), a quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM , 4G LTE, a 3D screen which would be glasses-free. The best part about the phone would be that it wouldn’t be smaller than Galaxy S II and would also be equipped with few beefy cameras similar to those of Galaxy S II which had 8 megapixel cameras which could shoot 1080p HD video.
The French company Gameloft which is popular with games such as Asphalt and a few others decided that it too could sell its games for 99 cents. In fact, Gameloft decided to sell all of its games to only 99 cents.

Some noteworthy games that will be put on sale include the Asphalt 6, N.O.V.A, Order & Chaos, Adventures of TinTin and many more. However, make sure that the devices are compatible before you decide to go on a spending spree. Unlike the iOS devices, Android devices face a lot more incompatibility issues partly due to the difference in hardware inside different Android devices.

Don’t go rushing into the spending spree just yet because this promotion will only start at 29th December 2011 at 10.00AM PST until 5th January 2012, 10.00AM PST. Should anyone go for it? Definitely! Gameloft games are certainly one of the best in the market and some of the reason on which not many people buy it is that it may cost a lot especially when it is on an Open Source (read: free) operating system.
Now, the popular electronics giant, LG, has promised to upgrade its Optimus line of smartphones to the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

While LG had already stated sometime ago that it would soon bring the update to the Optimus, we now have a concrete release date as well. Users will be able to experience the power of Android 4.0 on their smartphones, in the second quarter of 2012.

LG has further stated that it will start to deliver the rather yummy Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade to the LG Optimus LTE, the LG Optimus 2X, the LG Prada Phone, the LG Optimus myTouch Q, the LG Optimus Sol and the LG Eclipse. In Q3 2012, the LG Optimus Black, the LG Optimus Q2, the LG Optimus EX, the LG Optimus Big and the LG Optimus 3D will also get the same upgrade. Since each region and mobile carrier is different and follows different rules, the dates of release of the upgrade will vary in different countries of the world, LG said.

The company has also stated that it will give more details as it nears the upgrade launch date for each region.

Though we are delighted to hear this news, we also are aware that LG is still lagging behind many other manufacturers that have promised the same upgrade as well, to their respective smartphones and mobile devices. Sony Ericsson has officially announced a March or April 2012 upgrade. Though HTC, Samsung and Motorola are yet to formally announce their release date, we think it might happen somewhere in early 2012.

Well, we are awaiting this release with bated breath. How about you? Do you think Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich will be as special as it is expected to be?

Putting quality first, X10 uses a EXR image sensor with voice, directly borrowed from the world of DSLR models. Measuring 2/3 inch, the sensor with CMOS Exmor technology is the largest model in the EXR range achieved so far that offers a 12MP resolution and can get pictures using ISO 3200 or even ISO 12800 if we opt for a low resolution.

The objective supports 4X optical zoom and is optimized to maximize the amount of light sent to the image sensor, enabling to obtain high quality pictures in any situation. The aperture range from F2.0 for close obtained photos.

Fujifilm X10 can get pictures in burst of 7 frames per second in native resolution, or even 10 fps if you reduce the image resolution by half. Video capture function supports 1080p resolution and can be used including the panoramic pictures, obtained rotating the device.

Among the manual settings available include a dedicated button for exposure control and additional buttons on the back side. We can manually adjust ISO values, dynamic range, noise and film simulation, and among the image compression options we also have available the RAW mode.

Despite its small size, Fujifilm X10 integrates an optical viewfinder, sitting next to the LCD screen and on top we have a port for the external flash.

Fujifilm X10 will be available starting from November for an estimated price of about half of the X100 model, currently marketed for the amount of $1,200.
