Seems like Samsung has been making quite a name for itself in the world as previously, the Samsung Galaxy S II managed to get a healthy 10 million sales worldwide making it one of the most sought after smartphones after the iPhone. In fact, if compared with the iPhone 4S, the Samsung Galaxy S II would still have a better set of hardware. The Samsung Galaxy Note is a 5.3-inch tablet which comes with its own stylus and is somewhat different than most tablets available today. It isn’t too big neither is it too small but there must be an attractive feature that makes people interested with it as this particular device by Samsung managed to get a million units shipped worldwide. Some of the countries on which it managed to get a large volume of sales include France, Germany, Hong Kong and a few others.

This particular device will soon reach the US market although there is no telling what kind of alteration will be there in the US versions. The consumer would probably be seeing an LTE version of the device.

Samsung : Tablet powered by Windows 7

Usually whenever somebody speaks of a tablet, they are clouded idea of an Android powered slate or an iOS powered iPad. Rarely would there be a case of one that is powered by Windows 7 but Samsung Series 7 Slate PC is one that needs to be checked out even though it starts at a price of $1,099.

The Samsung Series 7 Slate PC features not an Intel Atom but rather a more powerful processor which is the Intel Core i5 processor instead. In addition to that, it also features a dock which allows the user to use a physical keyboard instead of the on-screen keyboard. In it is a 128GB SSD drive as well as a 4GB processor and an Intel HD 3000 integrated graphics card. Suffice to say, it isn’t the most powerful slate in the market and its meager battery life of roughly 3 hours can be a disappointment to many especially with the laptops comparable to its price can have an average of 5 hours easily.

In conclusion, the Samsung Series 7 Slate PC may not be the best of choice for all people because there are a lot of other tablets which could easily beat it and at a cheaper price as well, e.g ASUS Transformer Prime.

Growing Friendship: Apple and Samsung

The Samsung NX200 Camera with Interchangeable Lens

Cameras are always the rage among consumers and no matter how good mobile phones and smartphones get, at capturing stills and video, the good old camera is still one step higher than them. In this post, we bring you a detailed review of the latest Samsung NX200 camera, which falls in the ILC (interchangeable lens category). This mirrorless model is expected to hit the market very soon.

Features

The NX200 has stylish, sleek, looks and is quite attractive at first glance. The camera housing is smooth and shiny and feels good to hold. However, the NX lens mount has a strange design – it goes beyond the front face by almost half an inch. This seems a bit funny, as the latest cameras come with a very sleek design.
The camera sadly does not include a built-in flash, but you can find an external strobe in the box. At the back of the NX200 is a 3” AMOLED VGA display screen. This gives you great resolution, color and sharp details. The white balance, though, may not be as accurate as you think. A dedicated record button activates the camera’s 1080p video capture capability.
The camera also includes stereo mics, mini HDMI, micro USB ports and support for external SD card.

General Performance

The Samsung NX200 is rather slow regarding speed. While you can set a pre-focus, it does become inconvenient when you want to capture fast-moving objects. There is this lag even while capturing video.
Apart from this problem, the camera is good enough, offering a good resolution and even better battery life. The best feature of the Samsung NX200 undoubtedly has to be its powerful battery.

Image Quality

The camera uses an APS-C sensor, which means capturing pictures in low-light conditions is a breeze. There is practically no noise at high ISO settings either, which is a definite plus. Though the camera offers good color and exposure, the general picture sometimes tended to look softer than what was actually there.

User Interface

The UI of the Samsung NX200 is pretty easy to setup and use. The camera gives you a variety of modes to choose from and lets you control these functions with ease. The Magic Mode offers you several frames and filters, which you can use to enhance your picture. There are also some basic GPS options open to you.

The Verdict

Mirrorless ILC cameras are just coming into the market and so, they will take time to evolve and grow. The brands that are already there offer good features at a reasonable price range. This concept is slowly getting more and more popular and there may come a day when these compact cameras with interchangeable lenses may become the favorite of professional photographers.
The Samsung NX200, priced at $800, may be a tad bit too expensive, considering its features. Sony’s line of mirrorless cameras starts at about $549, which is way below the former. Of course, Sony does not have video capabilities like the Samsung, but we wonder if you would want to spend so much extra for one extra feature.

Samsung Series 7 for the Next Gen PC Lovers

The Series 7 (DP700A3B-A01US), the latest launch by Samsung is a sleek and stylish item in the desktop market. There is so much which makes up this smart desktop including fast Core i5 processor, integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless options, and a huge 1TB hard drive. Besides, there is also a HDMI-import which has its own functionality.

Sleek Design

Designed with sleek grey aluminum and black plastic chassis, it features a 23 inch widescreen monitor along with DVD+-RW drive and ports including the USB 3.0 port and SD card slot. In fact, in addition to all these you also have an Ethernet jack, four USB 2.0 ports, HDMI-in, and HDMI-out ports that constitute the back of the base.

Great Features

Besides, you can enjoy some of the great features of Samsung Series such as the wireless features like 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. There is also a lot of room to store videos, pictures, day-to-day files and plenty of other stuff. There is also some pre-installed software available and programs such as Norton thirty days trial, Skype, and Bing Bar which are available with this gadget. Also it includes Wild Tangent games.

Galaxy Tab 10.1N to be released in Germany

Previously, the German court published a ruling stated that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 was banned from the German market. This is due to its similarities in design with its tough competitor, the iPad 2. The court order certainly punched a hole in Samsung as Germany is considered one of the biggest mobile markets in the region and it was essential for Samsung to get a hold in its market. To counter the court order, Samsung released another 10.1 inch tablet called the Galaxy Tab 10.1N.

It sports a metal bezel which covers the edge of the device instead of the usual black. In addition to that, the speaker of the device was also repositioned to a different place but its insides remain the same as compared with the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. It sports a 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor with 1GB worth of RAM. Its 7000mAh battery will leave the tablet pumping with power for a long time.

With this being done, Samsung will be able to go into the tablet market in Germany. Given the success of its past devices, the company expects a lot of sales for this particular tablet of theirs. Only time will tell the result of the Galaxy Tab 10.1N.
