VLC Media Player for iPhone and iPod Touch

According to a recent blog post on wired, it is believed that the iPhone and iPod touch users will soon be able to install the VLC Media Player on their devices.

VLC Media Player was recently introduced for the Apple iPad and now it’s the turn for iPhone and iPod touch. The application has been submitted and is currently under review, it is expected to be approved very soon.

iPhone users must be waiting anxiously for this application and once this application gets approved by Apple, the iPhone and iPod Touch users will be able to download and install it.

I am sure that some of you must be wondering ‘why would someone need VLC Media Player when he has got QuickTime Player’. VLC Media Player will be supporting more audio video formats as compared to QuickTime.

This version of VLC Player will be compatible with iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4, it will also be compatible with the same generation iPod Touch. There were a few bugs in the iPad version and it is believed that they are fixed in this version.

We will surely update you when this application will be available for download
