Battlefield 3 DLC release date set for December 6th

Following the Battlefield 3 release date back in October developer DICE has confirmed that it is to launch the first Battlefield 3 DLC next week.

Entitled ‘Back to Karkand’ the opening Battlefield 3 downloadable content pack has been confirmed exclusively for the Sony PS3 at present with an initial Battlefield 3 release date set for December 6th.

Battlefield 3 DLC Content

Bring a host of new content to EA’s record breaking first person shooter, the Back to Karkand extension will see four classic Battlefield maps land alongside five new dog tags, five all new achievements and trophies and three new vehicles.

Whilst former maps Strike at Karkand, Wake Island, Gulf of Oman and Sharqi Peninsula will supply the new areas to roam, a desert patrol vehicle, BTR-90 armoured personnel carrier and F-35B STOVL jet fighter will take care of the incoming transportation options.

Despite DICE failing to confirmed the Battlefield 3 DLC release date for PC and Xbox 360 gamers, a number of reports have suggested that based on past titles these iterations will land one week later, just in time for the Christmas period on December 13th.
