Steve Jobs to Resign Effective Immediately ~ Technology And Information

In the tech world, Steve Jobs is a name familiar to many and why shouldn’t he? The man is one of the co-founder of Apple, one of the largest tech companies in the world. He had contributed to the idea of the iPad, iPhone and many other iconic Apple products. Previously, Jobs was forced out of duty for a while due to cancer treatments but now, a permanent change was made with him resigning as the chief executive officer effective immediately and to be succeeded by Tim Cook.

However, that does not necessarily means that Steve Jobs is fully out of the picture in Apple’s management. He had requested to be made chairman of Apple’s board of directors and was made so by the board of directors themselves.

Once the public had found out about Steve Jobs resignation, Apple market price took a hit and took a fell although it rebounded by the end of the day. In addition to Apple, Walt Disney Co. also suffered a fall of 1.5% of their shares as Steve Jobs was also in the board of directors in the company.

There is no telling about the future of Apple without Steve Jobs. A lot of speculation was made simply because Steve Jobs was the backbone of the company and without him, Apple would have never become what it currently is.
