Samsung Galaxy S2 I9200 review and specifications

When the Samsung Galaxy S has yet to launch in the USA, there are already rumors, Samsung will be more updated and feature-filled bigger brother to the Galaxy S called the Galaxy S2. The Samsung Galaxy S is a fantastic smartphone that has not long been out. the Galaxy S I9200 smartphone has a super-slim form factor and massive 4.3-inch screen with a super resolution of 1280×720 – which would make it the most pixel-packed mobile on the market.

The new Samsung Galaxy S2 I9200 seems to be a real iPhone 4 competitor and, from the looks of it, the new Galaxy version will be the hottest Android phone in town. the Samsung Galaxy S2 will feature a 2GHz processor,1 GB RAM and 4 GB ROM and will come with Google Android 3.0 Gingerbread. Other rumored specifications include a 32GB of built in storage, plus a microSD card slot with a 32GB card and an 8 megapixel camera with the ability to record FullHD video in 1080p.

The Galaxy S2 is said to sport a big 4.3 inch 1280×720 Super AMOLED display giving it around 340 pixel per inch, certainly comparable to Apple’s Retina Display and also will be come with a Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi b/g/n, GPS, a gryoscope, an accelerometer, proximity and ambient light sensors thrown in for good measure.

There’s no way to confirm all of the above at this point but we can assume that most Android smartphone manufacturers will have similar devices at some point in 2011. This Samsung Galaxy S2 will be launched at Q1 2011.

The Hottest Apps of 2011, Week 12!

Internet Explorer 9. Interest in Microsoft’s latest web browser (abbreviated as IE9) has picked up due to last week’s list. Again, IE9 promises faster loading times and better support for web standards—which should cover two complaints about earlier versions of Internet Explorer. Read: Every Version of Internet Explorer Acid Tested and IE9: 2.35 Million Downloads on Day One.

WebM for IE9. The WebM Project seeks to create an open online video format based on HTML5, a relatively new technology supported by newer versions of Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, and Opera. WebM for IE9 is one of the first extensions for the ninth incarnation of Microsoft’s web browser.

Glary Utilities. Here’s an “award winning” app that’s actually several in one. Glary Utilities promises a faster Windows experience. The utility features a registry cleaner, anti-spyware and -malware functionality, a database on how to fix certain application errors, and much more.

Sync Allway. There are numerous services that promise seamless syncing between your online account, computers, mobile devices, and anything else that can store data. Sync Allway lets you take a homebrew approach, turning your Windows PC into a synchronization control panel that supports desktops, laptops, USB drives, remote servers (FTP/SFTP), and online data storage services.

Dictionary.NET. It’s no surprise that you can download a dictionary app for your PC, especially one the relies on Google Translate for lingual conversions. Dictionary.NET works as advertised, with complete definitions and word etymologies for words both ancient and new. The only caveat with Dictionary.NET is that it needs to be online to accomplish anything useful.
Staff Picks

SpeedFan. Computer hardware enthusiasts swear by this utility. It shows real-time data on CPU voltage, fan speed, hardware temperatures, HDD recovery data (S.M.A.R.T.) and other information that overclockers and other computer pros rely on in the quest for the ultimate rig.

SUPERAntiSpyware Free Edition. The numerous anti-spyware and -malware offerings available online is a welcome trend. SUPERAntiSpyware attempts to stand out not through its cheesy name, but its thorough examination of a system booting up or shutting down. Like any other app in its genre, SUPERAntiSpyware regularly checks for and downloads updates.

Adobe Photoshop Express. You’re probably familiar with the desktop version of the scaled-down variant of Adobe’s main cash cow. But the app linked here is actually for the iOS. It promises comprehensive image editing tools, all controlled through the iOS intuitive multi-touch interface. All work can be synced with an online Photoshop.com account.

Songbird for Android. Few apps allow Android users complete control over their Android device’s media collection. Yet Songbird provides exactly that. No matter where your files are located on your pocket gadget (or how you placed them there), Songbird makes it easy to sort songs into playlists and control playback through a minimalist interface. Users can even set a song as their phone’s ringtone and easily configure Bluetooth headsets for a wireless listening experience.

Facebook for Android. It’s Facebook for Android. What else would you need to know? The app provides most of what’ll found on your desktop browser, redirecting users to a touchscreen-friendly version of the popular social networking service for what it can’t provide (touch.facebook.com). A glaring omission: no chat feature. But the new way Facebook handles messages should address this shortcoming somewhat.(tom's hardware)

Intel, AMD Fiercely Fighting For Market Share

Blue vs. Green.

According to iSuppli, Intel finished 2010 with 81.0% revenue share, which was up 0.4 points from 80.6% in 2009, while AMD was down 0.8 points to 11.4%. Sandy Bridge appeared to help Intel boost market share as the Q4 revenue share was up to 81.5%, while AMD was down to 10.9% and is in danger of dropping into the single digits.

The apparently uneventful market development could suggest that both companies are somewhat happy with what they have, even if I can still remember AMD targeting about 30% of the market just five years ago. However, it could be exactly the opposite as well: iSuppli noted that the two manufacturers are fighting for every dollar in the market: The total processor market (including RISC and other general purpose processors) was about $40 billion in 2010 - about 25% more than in 2009.

Both AMD and Intel are trying to catch up in the smartphone and tablet race. AMD fired its CEO Dirk Meyer and COO Bob Rivet in an effort to realign the company, while Intel just kicked Anand Chandrasekher, who was in charge of the firm's Ultra Mobility business, to the curb. iSuppli said that about 17.4 million tablets may have been shipped in 2010 - up from virtually nothing in 2009. It's a market Intel and AMD are not competing in yet and if the general predictions of 240 million shipped tablets by 2014 (iSuppli) are true, then it is a big opportunity for the two - an opportunity that could shift market shares again.(tom's hardware)

Review in Progress: Yakuza 4

I've spent a few dozen hours now with Yakuza 4, running around the streets of the noisy, neon-lit pleasure district of Kamurocho. When not kicking dudes in the face and beating them bloody with everything from signs to sofas, I've been engaging in a host of pastimes both innocent and adult in nature. The full review of this latest entry in Sega's gangster saga will be up on Monday, but I wanted to share some of my experiences with you now.

First and foremost, Yakuza 4 is absolutely, completely crazy. This will come as no surprise to anyone who has played the earlier Yakuza games, but if you're new to this series, be prepared for a lot of ludicrously over-the-top fight choreography and a ton of larger-than-life characters. Perhaps the biggest thing that sets Yakuza 4 apart from its predecessors is that you now play as four such characters, rather than just one. The inscrutable Kazuma Kiryu, hero of the earlier Yakuza games, is still here, but he's joined now by three other memorable protagonists. There's Shun Akiyama, a loan shark with a very unconventional way of running his business; Taiga Seijima, a convicted murderer whose quiet exterior hides a passionate soul; and Masayoshi Tanimura, a corrupt cop who operates according to his own moral code.

Each of these four characters has his own fighting style, and his own personality. Like the earlier Yakuza games, the story here is an intricate tale, packed with betrayals and stunning revelations. The way it's told isn't always exciting--many scenes substitute dry text and canned animations for voice acting and prerendered visuals--but it's overflowing with emotion. Like a good soap opera, the heightened emotions and constant surprises make this story an engaging one. And the fact that it hops from one fascinating character to another at regular intervals keeps the story moving until the credits roll.

You have to clobber hundreds of dudes before you reach the end, though. As you run around Kamurocho, thugs constantly approach you and demand your money or just insult you, which inevitably leads to fists and feet flying. Showing these punks the error of their ways is rarely challenging, but it's fun nonetheless. The responsive controls make pulling off insane, physics-defying combos easy and enjoyable, and you frequently level up, which gives you access to new moves to expand your arsenal.

But there's more to Yakuza 4 than just brawling. A lot more. Kamurocho is a pleasure district, after all, so it makes sense that on its streets, you find video arcades, bowling alleys, and batting cages, along with more adult forms of entertainment, like massage parlors and hostess clubs. These latter locales were removed from Yakuza 3 when it was released outside of Japan, but Yakuza 4's international release contains the full, uncompromised experience. Spending time with hostesses is a dating sim in which you give gifts, choose responses in conversation, and participate in activities like karaoke (a simple rhythm game) in the hopes of making the hostesses fall for you. Visiting a massage parlor triggers a minigame in which you try to receive as much relaxation as possible from the massage, if you know what I mean. Elements like these certainly won't appeal to everyone, but they do enhance the sense that this is a pleasure district you're hanging out in, and with the early minor exception of a brief bit of time spent in a hostess club, you can avoid these aspects of the game altogether if you prefer. You can also while away the hours (and earn money and prizes) playing poker, blackjack, darts, billiards, mahjong, and a number of other traditional Japanese games of skill and chance.

Regardless of how much or how little time you spend with these activities, Yakuza 4 delivers much more of the outrageous brawling and juicy melodrama that are staples of the series and introduces three memorable new protagonists who can each stand proudly beside the charismatic Kazuma Kiryu. Our full review on Monday will have more detail, but suffice it to say that if you're a fan of the series, or if you're open to experiencing some emotionally charged, hard-hitting action with a distinctly Japanese flavor, I think you'll enjoy your time in Kamurocho.

Website Builder Review

Website Builder: What to Look For

Features
Nowadays websites can play movies, songs and animations. You want to pick a website builder that will allow you to do all these things plus much more. We looked for features like automatic page naming, the ability to create rollover animations and SEO elements such as meta tag features and the ability to add keywords to a site.

In addition to features that actually appear on a finished website, we also looked for features that simplified and aided in the creation of a website, such as drag-and-drop capability, a find and replace function and automatic file backup. This also included template categories, or prefab site templates that are categorized by business type or theme. Lastly, we assessed any marketing tools offered that could help you market a new site such as website analytics, blogging capabilities and seamless integration with social networking sites.

Graphic Imaging Tools
Graphic imaging tools will help you edit, crop and resize images to place on your website. These tools are necessary to produce high-quality photos and graphics that help make your website look professional.

eCommerce Capabilities
If you want to sell merchandise on your website, you will need a website builder that has eCommerce capabilities. For instance, the software should provide a shopping cart, whether they offer their own proprietary system or they use an integrated third-party shopping cart. They should also provide a secure checkout for your customers and the ability to accept payments on your website.

Ease of Use
The software needs to be intuitive to understand, even for those who may lack computer-savvy. In this section we will discuss if the website builder is easy to navigate or if there is a sharp learning curve.

Help & Support
You should also consider how much support the web page maker software offers. If you have experience in creating a website you may only have the occasional question come up, but if you are newer to site creation, you need the ability to quickly get help when you have a question. Good support options to look for are a list of FAQs on the company's website as well as a phone number, knowledgebase and a user manual.

Whatever your reason for creating a website, a website builder can help you find your place on the world wide web.(tenreviews)

Samsung Shows 55-inch 3-D TV That Doesn't Require Glasses

There are plenty of 3-D TVs to choose from, but many consumers aren't comfortable paying more than $100 per pair of 3-D glasses. Samsung unveiled one potential alternative: a 55-inch 3-D TV that requires no glasses.

At the FPD China convention, Samsung is demoing a prototype of this new 3-D TV to attendees. The technology blog Tech-On! got a good look at it and reports that it can switch easily from 3-D to 2-D viewing.

The Samsung 3-D TV uses a special filter in the screen that changes the optical refraction index, making it possible to switch from 2-D to 3-D and back. The prototype uses older CCFL backlighting, but Samsung said the production model will likely use the more current LED backlighting technology.

Unfortunately, glasses-free 3-D technology still has some limitations. The Samsung TV only has nine points in front of the set where a viewer can properly see a 3-D image. And the optimal viewing distance is much tighter than other TVs, at 2.5 to 6 meters.

Samsung said this 3-D TV isn't ready for consumers yet, and it will probably be three years before the company brings it to market.(technewsdaily)

Apple MacBook Pro Review

Apple has always been unique in the tech world. For one thing, few companies command routine block-busting lines around their retail stores on launch days. As much as their users love Apple, some despise the brand for its mere existence. We tried to approach the subject from a neutral angle to give you our honest opinion of how this machine stacks up against the competition. It turned out finding the proper place for the MacBook Pro on our business laptop comparison chart was no easy task.

Once you lift the fog that swamps Apple products, you realize the main difference between the MacBook Pro and the other business laptops on our lineup is its operating system. Differences in price point, compatibility, features and performance all stem from Apple’s proprietary operating system.

The MacBook Pro is among the most highly customizable business laptops available. Therefore, it’s difficult to get an exact measure of its true faculties. For the purposes of this review, we relied on the specs and performance of their out-of-the-box, entry-level model.

Features:

The MacBook Pro’s display measures 13 inches, and it looks great. The display is actual glass rather than some of the synthetic plastic mesh offered by some of its competitors. The resolution on this model of business laptop maxes out at 1280 by 800 pixels.

As previously stated, the biggest difference between a MacBook Pro and other business laptops is the operating system, OSX. This is where it gets a little complicated; in fact, some IT professionals groan in pain when you bring a Mac into their building. That’s because a lot of legacy business software isn’t compatible with OSX. However, there are Windows emulators available for said software.

OSX has some unique business software worth mentioning. The iWork suite is the equivalent of Microsoft’s Office suite. Here is a quick run-down of which programs offer similar functionality. Pages = Word, Keynote = PowerPoint, Numbers = Excel. All these applications are capable of saving documents in formats compatible with their Windows counterparts. If you don’t want to deal with all that, you can purchase Microsoft Office for Mac. Compatibility problem solved.

Performance:

No one knows their own hardware better than Apple. Over the years, they’ve managed to tailor their software specifically to each processor and transistor in their business laptops. The results are some of the fastest and smoothest machines on the market.

The processor in this review’s model is a core i5 Sandy Bridge processor running at a speed of 2.4GHz. The graphics on the MacBook Pro run through an AMD Radeon HD graphics processor. This not only makes easy work of any business program; you’re also able to run graphic-heavy applications such as Apple’s video editing program – Final Cut Pro.

Memory/Storage:

The base MacBook Pro model has 4GB of RAM and a 320GB hard drive installed. And that's for the base model. Some of the business laptops in our lineup have a smaller hard drive on their top tier. Even if you stay at just 320, that’s enough storage to go a few years before you wander into the danger zone.

Connectivity:

Connectivity ports on this business laptop are somewhat limited. You only get two USB jacks, an Ethernet connection and a FireWire port. Those have been on the MacBook Pro for years.

The new kid on the block is the Thunderbolt port. This is the culmination of Intel’s Light Peak technology. It’s an all-in-one port to connect you to anything from external hard drives to additional displays, cameras and so forth. The Thunderbolt Port takes the place of the old mini display jack.

Support:

This business laptop comes with a limited one-year warranty. You can purchase additional coverage through the Apple Care program. Apple also has support available on their website, or you can just take your business laptop in to any Apple retail store and they’ll be happy to take care of you.

Summary:

In the nearly 30 years since 1984, Apple has moved from the little computer company that could to an unmatched powerhouse in the tech world. They wouldn’t be there if their products weren’t high-quality, versatile and powerful machines. The MacBook Pro is no exception – it's an excellent choice for a business laptop.(tenreview)

Download Good Charlotte The Young And The Hopeless

For its second outing THE YOUNG AND THE HOPELESS, Good Charlotte gives any notion of a sophomore jinx a combative boot to the side of the head thanks to an abundance of chanting choruses and choppy guitar riffs. Like standard-bearers Blink-182, this Maryland quartet frolics in a land of teen angst peppered with snarky optimism that comes across best within the margins of the rebellious "Anthem," rambunctious "Riot Girl" (no doubt a cousin of the Dead Milkmen's "Punk Rock Girl"), and Green Day-flavored title cut.

Balancing out rambunctious fare like the Iggy Pop-inspired "Lifestyles Of The Rich & Famous" and the chuggin "Movin' On" is such tasty fare as the soul-baring "Emotionless" and Social Distortion-like "The Day I Die." With THE YOUNG AND THE HOPELESS, Good Charlotte takes the next step towards pop-punk world domination.

Run Like Hell – iPhone Game [Review]

Run Like Hell’ is an iPhone game which is quite interesting and fun to play. iPhone users can download this game for free (at present) and the best part is that there are no advertisements either.

Just to make the free game interesting, there are a couple of game modes which are locked and can they can be unlocked for free, you will just be needing achievements to unlock the modes.

It is an interesting game and teenagers would love to play this game on their iPhone. It is a simple game, the player keeps running automatically and he is being chased by tribal people. The user has to avoid obstacles by jumping or sliding, he could also collect power-ups to make things easy for him.

There is another version of the game and that version is known as ‘Run Like Hell – ICE COLD’. The concept is same but the environments are different and in this particular game, the player is chased by a Bear.

So, if you like to play games on your iPhone, do not forget to try this out.(new gadget)

Partition Manager Software Review

Partition Manager Software: What to Look For

To get the most from your computer, you need to get the most from your hard drive. It's where all your data is stored, and it is vital you have all the tools necessary to manage your information. Partition manager software offers you the complete package with capabilities for organizing and resizing your drive, restoring and backing up your information, along with recovering and cloning data files. It also allows you to manage several operating systems on the same computer.

These are the criteria we used to evaluate this management software:

Partitioning
Partitioning is an effective way to speed up defragmentation by dividing your hard drive into several compartments for storing data. Partitioning is ideal for separating your operating system, personal files and media files such as games or music you may store on your hard drive. This should optimize your hard drive's ability to find information efficiently. The best partition software allows you to create, delete, resize and merge partitions. It also allows you to hide or unhide partitions that may contain valuable information.

Data Backup & Restore
It is essential to back up any important information stored on your device. A good hard disk manager software includes cloning features that make it possible for you to copy your information from disk to disk. It also allows you to back up information onto several storage devices such as USB devices or memory cards. The best programs will recover any lost or damaged data and restore it onto your hard drive.

Features
A good management software application will allow you to install more than one operating system on a single computer. It will also include a boot manager, which helps you operate and manage several operating systems. For when you are ready to discard your hard drive or sell your computer, the best software includes a feature that wipes the hard drive clean and permanently removes all data stored on the device.

Ease of Use
Managing your hard disk can be a daunting task, especially if you have little knowledge or experience with hard drives. The best software programs will walk you through step-by-step processes and let you preview the changes you are making before they are applied to the hard drive. The user interface must also be organized simply so each feature is easy to find.

Technical Help & Support

Download Manager Review

The YouTube Download Manager Pro application can download and convert YouTube videos to the AVI and MP3 file formats. First, you’ll have to download the YouTube video to your computer in the Flash file format. After it is saved to your computer, you can convert the file to the MP3 file format. However, this process can be somewhat confusing because the interface of this YouTube to MP3 converter software is cluttered. Also, with this YouTube to MP3 converter software you can only convert files to MP3 and AVI file formats.

While surfing the web, you are sure to encounter YouTube videos you want to save. Whether it’s the latest viral video or a corporate training video, there are some videos you’ll want to download and save to your hard drive. Once the video is saved, you can convert it to a different file format, such as the MP3 format. This is one of the most popular audio file formats. After the video is converted to an MP3 file format, you’ll be able to export the file to mobile players such as MP3 players and cell phones with this software.

After downloading this YouTube to MP3 converter, grab the link for the YouTube video you want to download. This URL must come from YouTube.com, it cannot be from a site where a video is embedded. Paste this address into the interface and click the icon that says “Download.” This will save the video to your hard drive.

To convert the video to an MP3 file, click on the icon that says “To MP3.” This will open a browser window where you can search your hard drive for the file you want to convert. Select the YouTube videos you have downloaded and then start the conversion process. Overall, we found this step in the process to be extremely fast. However, it took us a while to understand the software. It is not clearly labeled and it doesn’t have as many options as some other similar applications.

This YouTube to MP3 converter has a cluttered interface, and the options are limited. Unlike many other similar applications, this software can only convert files to AVI and MP3 file formats. Other similar applications can convert files to a variety of other formats including MP4, WAV and WMA. The interface has some customized settings available. These settings will allow you to change the output settings for the videos. However, it still does not have any settings for HD videos, and the highest available resolution settings are 720 x 576.

The manufacturers of this software have an email address for customer support. When we sent an email with a few questions about the software, we received a response after two days. The website does not have a section for frequently asked questions or an area of user’s forums. However, the software is relatively straightforward and it’s unlikely you’ll need to contact the customer support team.(software toptenreviews)

reduce font size increase font size Sony VAIO SR Series Review

Sony is well known for its top quality across the spectrum of consumer electronics and the Sony VAIO SR series of laptop computers carries on the tradition. A first glance at the elegant and lightweight magnesium alloy housing tells you that you’re looking at an exceptional product. The understated elegance continues to the ultra slim profile which measures just 1.33 inches thick at its deepest point when closed and the color choices of Night Black, Titanium Gray, Alpine White or Champagne Gold. It’s true that Sony products tend to be somewhat pricey compared to their nearest competition but the cost buys a lot in terms of reliability and performance.

Features:

While we admit to being captivated by the elegant look of the Sony VAIO SR, there’s more to its alloy body than meets the eye. It provides a stronger exterior than the typical plastics that comprise most laptop computers and that coating hides trademarked G-Sensor Shock Protection technology to protect the computer and the valued data it houses.

The housing isn’t the only eye catcher on this great little computer, either. It has a stunning High Definition backlit LED screen that produces remarkable images. There’s also an HDMI output allowing the HD video to be viewed on other devices such as a HDTV in all its 1080p glory. While it’s true that the 13.3-inch, diagonally measured, screen is a bit smaller than the competition, we can’t help but feel that the quality more than makes up for the size difference.

But enough for the eye candy. As with any computer, it’s the internal workings that are most important and the Sony VAIO SR series of computers has an impressive selection of hardware. The included processor is an Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 running at a very respectable 2.2 GHz. It has a 2 MB L2 cache and 800 MHz front side bus. There are five processor upgrades available culminating with the lightning fast Intel Core 2 Duo T9900 with a 3.06 GHz clock speed, 6MB L2 cache and 1066 MHz front side bus. Upgrading that much is expensive and not likely necessary for most users but would be a good idea for serious gamers or those doing lots of video editing.

The base computer in the VAIO SR series comes with 4GB of DDR2 RAM. That’s upgradeable to 6MB or 8MB. The basic unit includes a 250GB, 5400 rpm hard drive. The largest hard drive available is a hefty 500GB and runs at 7200 rpm for faster data retrieval. Available also are a 128GB or 256GB solid state drive. Though capable of holding less data and being substantially more expensive than the typical hard drive, these drives have no moving parts so are less susceptible to damage operate faster. This can be an important feature for a portable computer that will inevitably be subjected to some jarring and is a nice complement to the protection afforded by the magnesium frame.

Standard on the Sony VAIO SR series laptop is a CD/DVD player and burner. As an option, there’s an available Blu-ray Disc player and burner. It’s a high priced addition but it’s what’s necessary to realize the full video potential of the computer. If upgrading to the Blu-ray drive, it would also be a good idea to include the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 graphics improvement as well. That upgrade is necessary anyway if you choose any color other than black for the exterior so there’s an additional benefit to making that leap.

The Sony VAIO SR laptop ships with the 64-bit Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium operating system or the Professional edition for $50 extra. Microsoft Works is also included in the price. Other preinstalled software is available at additional cost.

Summary:

In every regard, the Sony VAIO SR series of laptop computers are strikingly impressive. They absolutely ooze the quality and sophistication for which Sony is well known. The down side is that it all comes at a cost. For mobile business professionals, students or home users, you can’t go wrong with this computer if the budget permits.(computers topten reviews)

Publisher ends trading day down 21% as analyst says sub-80 Metacritic average has spooked investors.

The first-person shooter genre has enormous potential for turning a buck, but investors are under the impression that only the best survive. With THQ's Homefront hitting store shelves on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC this week, the reviews have started to come in, and investors apparently don't like what they're seeing.

As of market close today, THQ was trading down $1.25, or 21 percent of its value, to $4.69. Analysts have been quick to point to Homefront's critical reception as the culprit for the steep drop. The game has thus far accrued a 72 Metacritic average on the Xbox 360 and PC, while the PlayStation 3 edition has fared slightly better at 76.

"This score is a bit of a disaster for THQ and the share price today is reflecting that," Janco Partners analyst Mike Hickey told Reuters. "The market is a quality-driven market, (and) you need at least a score of 80 and above on Metacritic to do well."

Developed by Kaos Studios (Frontlines: Fuel of War), Homefront is a story-driven shooter set after North Korea invades and overruns the continental United States. The single-player component sees the player as a member of the American resistance fighting the Korean People's Army in an attempt to regain control of the ruined nation. The multiplayer modes are set earlier, letting players engage in military scenarios from the invasion itself.

THQ has previously indicated that it is planning to expand Homefront first with add-on content and then a full-blown sequel. However, as part of an event during this year's Game Developers Conference, THQ executive vice president Danny Bilson cautioned that games need to prove their success first before any future developments move beyond the concept stage.(gamespot)

Save PlayStation games to the cloud

This time Sony has decided to utilize all the web resources and now they have added a feature by using which you may save your PlayStation 3 games to the cloud. Cloud here doesn’t mean the sky one. Cloud is a web hosting service which is offered from a network of servers that are connected to one another. These server can be located anywhere in the world like One in New Delhi and other in New York. Now a days cloud hosting is widely in use by all the big websites. It protects them from many DDOS attacks and also offers best uptime.

This is a very nice feature introduced by Sony in its new PlayStation 3 and by using you can save all your running game data to their server. Now you will not loose any unsaved games and you can show off your friends that you have completed X Level of blah blah game.

But this service is not free, you have to pay and it is only available to the PlayStation Plus subscribers. You need to have a WiFi connection to connect to this service.

Lets talk about PS3 features. It has a built-in WiFi and 160GB to 320GB Hard Disk storage varies with model(equivalent to PC hard drive). That’s not all. You can play Blu-Ray Disc too and it offers 3D video audio quality.

So what you can do with 320GB space? You may store

* 2,500 rich, immersive games
* Over 190 of your favorite movies
* 51,200 photos capturing your most cherished memories
* 73,000 songs for you to rock out to

That’s pretty enough. PS3 is priced at $349.99 MSRP (Manufacturer’s suggested retail price). Its accessories are really awesome. This gaming console has something really special in it.

Make sure you have updated to new Firmware version 3.6 and a Plus subscriber to utilize cloud saving feature.(newgadget)

Trojan Attack Blackberry phones

Zeus Trojan malware variants are now stalking the BlackBerry. Computer security firm Trend Micro is difficult to identify variants detected Zeus, BBOS_ZITMO.B.

"As Zeus variant on the desktop, these malicious programs do not change the face of the device. These malicious programs can remove themselves from the list of applications for could not be detected, "said analyst Trend Micro, Patrick Estavillo.

When Zeus is installed on the BlackBerry, the device will send a confirmation message to the administrator and ultimately can control the other party. Zeus Trojan was aimed to monitor users' personal information, especially when users transact online banking.
